A new location can be opened quickly – but not every location tells a story. At hTRIUS, the opening in Horb am Neckar was much more than a symbolic handover of keys. It marked a turning point: the transition from a young, fast-growing tech start-up to an established high-tech company that develops, manufactures and brings ergonomic exoskeletons to the world of work.
With around 200 guests, emotionally staged highlights and genuine insights into the world of hTRIUS, the grand opening impressively demonstrated how much passion, teamwork and vision lie behind this growth step. In this article, we take you behind the scenes and show you why this new location plays a decisive role in the future of hTRIUS.

An evening that shows how an idea became a high-tech provider
It was clear from the moment we arrived that something big was happening here. Under the motto "Dimension 4", we presented the journey we have taken over the last few years – from 230 m² to our new 1,500 m² location, which combines professionalism, creativity and technical development under one roof.
Managing Director Dominik Heinzelmann summed it up in his opening speech:
"We are not just opening a building – we are opening a new era."
His message: the move not only represents more space, but also a new self-image – a company that is growing, becoming more professional and at the same time retaining the values that made it great: proximity, openness and deep roots in the region.
Appreciation from the region: The mayor's voice
In his speech, Horb's mayor Ralph Zimmermann emphasised the importance of hTRIUS for the town and the region. He said that exoskeletons are an approach that provides "concrete support" to people in physically demanding occupations – in skilled trades, nursing and industry.
His conclusion for the new location:
"I wish you every success. Keep up the good work!"
The fact that a technology company from Horb is developing solutions that are internationally relevant makes this a particularly special moment.
Talk format: A look at the real hTRIUS DNA
A highlight of the evening was the moderated talk format with Dominik Heinzelmann (Managing Director), Jonas Haag (Operations Manager) and Oliver Flug (Moderation, Marketing).
In a relaxed, honest atmosphere, they talked about the history of hTRIUS, product development, corporate culture and the next strategic steps.
The talk gave guests a rare glimpse behind the scenes – authentic, approachable and full of energy.
A building that breathes the future
The new location is more than just a workplace. It is a functional, modern hub for everything that defines hTRIUS:
Showroom: Live demonstrations and testing of the BionicBack
Assembly & production: Insights into manufacturing
3D printing area: Components are created in real time
Development: materials, components and prototypes
Creative and meeting rooms: for ideas, exchange and strategies
Open-plan office: short distances, open communication, clear process structures
Guests were able to experience each department for themselves – from hands-on testing to a glimpse into future projects.
A location that connects people
Between light shows, short films, tours and personal exchanges, an atmosphere was created that revealed the core of hTRIUS: a team that stands together and shares the vision of making work safer, healthier and more sustainable.
Over finger food, drinks and conversations, it became clear how closely the company is connected to its partners, friends and the region.
conclusion
The new location in Horb is much more than a milestone. It is a promise: a promise of more innovation, more ergonomics in the workplace and more room for growth. We show how a small idea can become a company that actively shapes the future of physical work – regionally rooted, technologically leading and supported by a strong team spirit.
