Nov 11, 2025

hTRIUS was recognized as one of the most innovative startup teams in Germany.

Horb am Neckar, November 11, 2025 – Great recognition for an innovative company from the Black Forest: hTRIUS GmbH from Horb has been honored as the State Winner Baden-Württemberg at the KfW Award Gründen 2025. This award positions hTRIUS among Germany’s most innovative and socially relevant start-ups.

At the official award ceremony held in Berlin on November 6, courage, innovation, and social responsibility took center stage. With its BionicBack exoskeleton, an ergonomic system designed to relieve the back, hTRIUS impressed the jury across the board.

Stefan Wintels, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of KfW, emphasized in his speech: “With the KfW Award Gründen, we honor founders who are breaking new ground with creative ideas, great commitment, and a clear vision, thereby providing important impetus for the economy and society.”

With the world’s first AGR-certified exoskeleton, hTRIUS has developed an ergonomic, motorless support system that relieves the back, improves posture, and provides tangible assistance to people in physically demanding jobs. Today, the BionicBack is already in use across various industries—from logistics and construction to retail—helping to reduce back pain, minimize downtime, and improve overall well-being at work.

“This award means a lot to us,” explains Dominik Heinzelmann, founder and CEO of hTRIUS GmbH. “It shows that our solution truly makes a difference for people who work hard every day. With the BionicBack, we aim not only to relieve the back but to give back quality of life.”

The KfW Award Gründen annually recognizes young companies that demonstrate creativity, innovation, and social responsibility. As the State Winner Baden-Württemberg, hTRIUS carries its mission from the heart of the Black Forest out into the world:

#SupportToWear – for greater health, performance, and quality of life in tomorrow’s working world.

With this achievement, hTRIUS also qualifies for the Public Choice Award, open for voting until November 30, 2025, at www.fuer-gruender.de/kfw-award-gruenden-publikumspreis.
